About me & Patepluma

I grew up in Honduras. Honduras is the source of happiness and inspiration to me. Living there taught me to enjoy the little things in life. Now I live in Europe; I am a full time teacher of ethics and culture at a local university in the Netherlands. I love my work as a teacher, bike rides, futsal, playing with my dog Tuki, spending time with lovely people, a nice coffee in the mornings, and of course, crafting beautiful leather wallets at Patepluma Co.

Patepluma (Feather Foot) is a term that Spaniards used upon the "discovery" of the Americas back in my region in Honduras to describe my ancestors since they decorated their feet with feathers, and because some of these feathers would fly away as they scaped from Conquistadors through the jungles. Today, We use this word with pride to describe who we are. And to not forget our past. This is why my company's name, colors that I use, names of current and future products are inspired by the place and the people that made me the man that I am today.

Patepluma Co. was born to satisfy this new hobby of mine; I started searching for the perfect wallet and couldn’t find it. Then I found a few that I loved but to each I always thought something was missing to make it perfect. Until one day I said to myself, I can make great wallets myself and it became a hobby until it grew into the business that it is now. I love to share with others my gorgeous products and my hope is that these items would bring them as much joy as they have brought me. The leather wallets are handcrafted with high quality materials. Experience one and you won't regret it.

Thank you for being here.
